Governments everywhere around are promoting the adoption of sustainable forms of lifestyles across various spheres. CV manufacturer Kenworth made an announcement that its K270E and K370E electric vehicles are eligible for a base $85000 voucher incentive to qualifying California buyers from California Air Resources Board (CARB).
The 2022 CARB Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) offers this significant financial incentive.
Additionally, the program offers a 15 percent Disadvantaged Community (DAC) bonus voucher for qualifying vehicles domiciled in a disadvantaged community.
HVIP is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative. It puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy.
Also, it aims at improving public health and the environment, particularly in disadvantaged communities.
