Indian Multinational Company Mahindra which has a strong global presence released a video giving a glimpse of its Born EV lineup. The video showcases three electric vehicles, possibly SUV crossovers from their appearance.
Bright LED headlights with futuristic design make it make an appealing introduction for the trio. Unveiling of the EV/s will be in July 2022 according to the video.
Designing of the EVs is done by Mahindra Automotive Design Europe (M.A.D.E) in the UK.
In a tweet on the Mahindra Born Electric page, it says “Welcome to a reimagined world of Born Electric vehicles. Electrifying presence & exhilarating performance brought to you by our team of global designers, engineers and experts. Starting today, we reveal our Born Electric Vision. Coming soon | July 2022”
Mahindra had announced last year in May that it will be setting up a new design center in the UK. Through M.A.D.E, the auto giant intends to enhance its global design capability by joining its Mahindra Design Studio in Mumbai, India and Pininfarina Design in Turin, Italy.
Mahindra had acquired the renowned Italian car design firm in December 2015. Pininfarina designed cars for iconic carmakers like Ferrari, Maseratti, Alfa Romeo, GM, Fiat, Lancia. Also, it has a large list of clients of emerging companies in Asia.
Mahindra had announced earlier that it plans to launch around 16 EVs in India by 2028, which most likely would fall under the Born Electric Vision brand.
