Delivery of the first series-produced eActros trucks to DB Schenker

The eActros – Mercedes-Benz’s electromobility offering in heavy-duty CV, is now with its first customer since the beginning of serial production. According to a press release, Karin Rådström, CEO, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, handed over an eActros 300 to logistics firm DB Schenker.
The major logistics company DB Schenker already has a lot of experience with the eActros prototype. All thanks to being a part of the “eActros innovation fleet”. Additionally, DB Schenker uses the eActros to transport palletized shipments in the Leipzig area.

At a customer meeting in Wörth, an eActros 300 was received by Cyrille Bonjean and Wolfgang Janda from the DB Schenker company. The electric truck with a 19-tonnes GVW rolled off the assembly line as per plan last year. However, it was waiting for federal funding approval. With a two-axle configuration, the electric truck has its aerodynamic box body by SPIER.
